I programmed Alexa with a new thingy called "work mode." So when I'm not in the living room, work mode has only a few living room lights associated with it - rather than the entire living room. I've even been backtracking and turning off lights as I leave the room.

I gotta say this remains the hardest thing for me to do! I like HEAT. But I am keeping my mini-split at 68 for most of the day. It is a true challenge.

I gotta say that changing the thermostat to cooler is really hard for me. I have an elderly cat, Ripley, who is often cold. If I'm not at home working in my little office, I want her to have some kind of heat. So I leave the kitchen to an "occupied" temperature.
