Luckily, the fluorescent T12S in my closet went out this weekend, so we got to replace those with LEDs :D

HAPPY FRIDAY! I have to post about powering down my laptop. That is a natural thing when I'm traveling from the office to the home office. But over the weekend? That's tough! I'm not used to powering down on a Friday night! I might sneak a peak at my email on a Saturday, or maybe I just want to have the stuff I was working on all open and ready to go on Monday. It is more challenging than I thought!

Do any of you have the same issue?

I made it a habit from real early on working from home, that I would power down every night. It helps with work/life balance to not be tempted to check e-mails because the computer is still on 😊

I do not often fully power down and need to get in the habit. Thanks for the reminder!

I am really proud of how good we've gotten at shifting this energy usage! I would like to get my monthly <1000 kwh. We have 2 EVs, though, so maybe I am being too hard on myself? Reducing lighting load may help with all those new switches but I doubt itll be 200kwh worth.

I am installing a clothesline to hang-dry towels and sheets to reduce the dryer load.

Nice! :) With the warmer weather we've been getting, hand drying is an awesome option!

Most of my clean laundry hangs in my shower to dry. I purposely got a double curved shower curtain rod so that I can hang-dry my clothes!
